Yucaball mascot with Best Hitter trophy

Yucaball started with a simple question.

While watching the 2023 World Baseball Classic, I noticed something I could not explain: a hitter like Luis Arráez, known more for contact than power, hitting home runs with a short, simple swing. It did not make sense. So I went looking for answers.

That search led me to Baseball Savant and the world of tracking data.

What began as curiosity became something deeper: understanding baseball beyond what you can see with the naked eye: not just outcomes, but the decisions, mechanics, and patterns behind every play.

That is where Yucaball comes from.

About Yucaball

Yucaball is a fan-built space to explore MLB with Statcast-backed profiles, clear tables, and charts you can use, made for Latin American fans and anyone who loves deeper baseball.

What we offer

Pitcher and hitter profiles with Statcast pitch data, traditional and advanced season stats, leaderboards, and a glossary so the numbers make sense.

Search and season views are built to tell each player’s story quickly: repertoires, plate discipline, quality of contact, and more.

Goals

Make advanced MLB data approachable in Spanish and English, with consistent visuals and clear notes where methodology matters.

Keep improving accuracy, performance, and new views (charts, comparisons, and quality-of-life features) as the project grows.
